Member training: Using the Equality Act

Read Time 1 mins | Thursday 21 October, 23:35

The Equality Act 2010 is a powerful tool to improve working conditions, from individual casework to policy development.

In this online course, we will explore what the Act means, how to use it in casework by learning to correctly identify the differences between direct and indirect discrimination, harassment and victimisation. This session draws on the legislation as written including recent case law.

This course is open to UWU members only. Whether you’re a trade union official or a representative, you’ll get to share experiences and approaches and learn how casework escalates to the employment tribunal.
