Member training: Negotiating for pay

Read Time 2 mins | Wednesday 12 October, 22:39

As the cost of living squeeze continues to impact the members we support, pay negotiation skills are increasingly more important for union workers. Whether you are a negotiating novice or an experienced negotiator looking to brush up your skills this session is for you.

In this online course, we will look at all aspects of a successful pay negotiation from planning to delivery. This session will draw on the collective experience of our members who have the responsibility of delivering the trade union pay agenda across the UK. We will examine various negotiating styles and work through real-life case studies where we will plan, design and deliver a successful pay negotiation.

This course is open to UWU members only. Whether you’re a trade union official or a representative you’ll get to share experiences and approaches as you learn to negotiate successfully.
