  • Employed - £5.78
  • Employed (Reduced) - £3.47
  • Special (Associate/Unemployed/Retired) - £2.31

Members who joined as solidarity members prior to June 2024 are transitioning to our new-style solidarity rates:

  • Members previously on the £10 rate are now transferred to the new-style £9.28 rate.
  • All remaining Legacy Solidarity members are at an interim £8 rate; from 1 April 2026, you'll be transferred to the equivalent new-style rates.
I'm a solidarity member prior to June 2024, what are my subscription rates and can I claim TOTUM+ membership?

If you joined as a Solidarity member prior to June 2024, you're now on a Legacy Solidarity rate and continue to be eligible to claim free TOTUM+ membership.

Following approval by an all-member ballot in January 2025, Legacy Solidarity rates are transitioning to our new-style Solidarity rates in a phased approach:

  • Members previously on the £10 rate are now transferred to the new-style £9.28 rate.
  • All remaining Legacy Solidarity members are at an interim £8 rate; from 1 April 2026, you'll be transferred to the equivalent new-style rates.

Unless you've recently claimed free TOTUM+ membership, you can change to a non-solidarity rate at any time by updating your details or contacting us.

Where's my membership card?

We don’t issue membership cards at this time but please but be assured that if your direct debit is active, your membership is active.

Solidarity members who redeem free TOTUM+ membership will receive a physical card that indicates UWU membership.

What communications will I receive?

We circulate periodic all member emails with updates, elections and meetings. You may also get branch specific emails.

If you’re not receiving emails from us, please check your spam filter in the first instance. Otherwise, please contact us as we can update your communication preferences on our system.

How do I change the payment date for my direct debit?

Please contact us and we can change this for you. If you're already close to your next due date any change may not take effect until the following month.

Our payment system automatically re-attempts failed payments however this costs us more in processing fees. It's a quick process for us to change your payment date to a different time in the month that works better for you.

How do I cancel my UWU membership?

We have membership options that cover most circumstances, including reduced and special rates (unemployed or retired).

If UWU membership is no longer right for you, you can either contact us or cancel your direct debit with us via your bank. Cancellations are effective from the date your direct debit mandate ends and refunds are only available for a full month ie. you cancel on or just before you next payment is debited. Pro rated refunds for a partial month are not available.

I'm a TOTUM+ member but my Cashback card isn't free, why is this?

If you joined TOTUM+ (formerly TOTUM Professionals) prior to 29 July 2024 this did not include a free Cashback card and this is a small additional cost directly with TOTUM.

Only new members or renewals (when due) under the new TOTUM+ branding can get the free Cashback card.

I'm a TOTUM+ member, is the Tastecard and Coffee Club membership still included?

TOTUM discontinued the offer of a free Tastecard and Coffee Club membership from 18 January 2025.
