Members of the UWU executive committee met recently and discussed a range of updates to internal policy and procedure. As the union grows, so does the need for robust processes and the committee is pleased to be moving further down the road of development.

Following the recent advert for our first UWU-employed member of staff, interviews are shortly to commence and the committee hopes to be able to make an appointment shortly. With a new worker in post, our existing plans will accelerate as our capacity increases significantly.

Two new recognition agreements are nearing completion following significant amounts of local organising and bargaining. Stay tuned for updates
